Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

PNXStudios, LLC ("PNXStudios," "we," "us," or "our") is a limited liability company formed in the State of Utah, USA. We operate the PNXStudios platform: a software-as-a-service product for movement and sports studios and creators that provides multi-camera capture (the PNXCamera app for iOS and Android, with up to 8 synchronized angles), AI content generation (image, voice, music, and video), an in-browser video editor with cloud rendering, and an embeddable, movement-focused player (PNXPlayer) with multi-angle replay, searchable transcripts, and on-screen pose overlays (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, the choices and rights you have, and how we protect it. It applies to all users of the Services worldwide, including residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA).

1. Who We Are (Data Controller)

PNXStudios, LLC is the controller responsible for your personal information under this policy. For privacy requests, data-subject rights, and legal notices, contact us at info@pnxstudios.com. A postal mailing address is available on request.

2. Scope and Eligibility (16+)

The Services are intended for business and professional use and are currently invite-only. They are not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a person under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@pnxstudios.com and we will delete it.

3. Information We Collect

Account and Identity Information

When you create or access an account, we collect your email address, name, and assigned role, along with profile details you choose to provide (such as a bio and avatar). If you use "Sign in with Google," we receive your Google email, profile name, account identifier, and avatar from Google as your identity provider.

Waitlist and Lead Intake

If you request access through our waitlist form, we collect the name, email address, and free-text reason ("notes") you submit. We store these requests to evaluate and process invitations. Account creation is invite-only and gated by an approved-signups allowlist.

User Content and Media

The Services let you record and upload video and media, including multi-camera recordings of up to 8 synchronized angles, together with related project and content metadata. They also store player-sync data you create when using PNXPlayer, such as notes, flashcards, and playback preferences. Your media is stored in our cloud storage under per-user locations.

AI Prompts and Generated Outputs

When you use AI features (text, image, voice, music, video, or the AI assistant), we process the prompts you submit and the outputs that are generated. For the AI assistant, we also process relevant page or project context and chat transcripts so the assistant can respond to you.

Usage and Telemetry Information

We collect usage and operational data to run and improve the Services, including events, performance metrics, and exceptions (which may include stack traces). This telemetry is enriched on our servers with the source IP address and user-agent. For signed-in users, telemetry is keyed to your account email (and name); for anonymous visitors, it is sent as "anonymous." We also generate first-party identifiers described in Section 5 (a visitor id, a session id, and a pageview id).

Cookies and Session Data

We use an essential authentication and session cookie to keep you signed in, and first-party identifiers for product analytics. See Section 5 for details.

Payment Information

Where paid plans are offered, payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details directly into Stripe, which handles payment-card security (PCI). PNXStudios does not store full card numbers. Stripe receives your email, an internal user identifier, and billing details necessary to process your subscription; we retain a mirror of your billing status.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including multi-camera capture, upload, synchronization, editing, cloud rendering, AI generation, and playback
  • Authenticate your identity, manage your account, and enforce invite-only access
  • Store and deliver your media and project content
  • Perform the AI inference you request and return the generated outputs
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions for paid plans
  • Monitor, debug, secure, and improve the Services using usage data, metrics, and error reports
  • Communicate with you about your account, invitations, service updates, and support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of PNXStudios, our users, and the public

5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

We use a small number of first-party cookies and identifiers, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers:

  • Essential authentication cookie: a Supabase auth/session cookie (a chunked "sb-...-auth-token") that keeps you signed in and is refreshed on each request. The Services cannot function without it.
  • First-party analytics identifiers: a visitor id ("vid," persisting roughly 2 years) and a session id ("sid," lasting roughly 30–60 minutes), plus an in-memory pageview id. These help us understand product usage.
  • Local storage: your theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage ("pnx-theme"), not in a cookie.

We affirmatively do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. There is no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Segment, Mixpanel, PostHog, Hotjar, or Clarity on the Services.

Please note that, for signed-in users, our first-party telemetry is tied to your account (your email and name) and is not anonymized. Only telemetry from unauthenticated visitors is sent without an account identity.

6. AI Processing

To deliver AI features, we send your prompts and the relevant content or context to AI providers solely to perform the inference you request and return the result. We use OpenRouter for text, image, audio, and video generation and for retrieval embeddings.

PNXStudios does not use your content, uploads, or prompts to train or fine-tune AI models. Your content is sent to AI providers only to perform the requested inference and deliver the Service to you.

7. How We Share Information (Sub-Processors)

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the service providers and infrastructure below, who process it on our behalf to operate the Services:

  • Supabase — authentication and our Postgres database. Stores your email, name, role, Google OAuth identity, profile/bio/avatar, content metadata, player-sync data (notes, flashcards, preferences), AI-assistant chat transcripts, and a mirror of your Stripe billing status. Sets the essential auth/session cookie.
  • Google — "Sign in with Google" identity provider (your Google email, profile name, account id, and avatar).
  • OpenRouter — our provider for AI text, image, audio, and video generation and for retrieval embeddings. Receives your prompts, generated outputs, and relevant page/project context for the AI assistant.
  • Stripe — payment and subscription processing. Receives your email, an internal user id, and billing details for paid plans; card details are handled by Stripe.
  • Sentry — error and performance monitoring with session-replay-on-error. It is configured to send default personal information, so when an error occurs it can capture your IP address, cookies, user id, and a replay of on-screen interactions. We disclose this so you understand its scope.
  • Netlify — application hosting, CDN, and edge functions. As our host, it processes all HTTP request data, including IP address, cookies, and headers; access logs include IP addresses.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) — we host our platform on AWS, which provides the cloud hosting, storage, and content delivery used to operate the Service, including storing your uploaded and recorded video and media and delivering it to you. Server and content-delivery logs may record IP addresses.

In addition, we operate first-party analytics infrastructure: our telemetry service receives events, metrics, and exceptions (including stack traces), keyed to your account email and name when you are signed in and enriched with source IP address and user-agent; and a backend analytics store holds aggregated usage data.

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PNXStudios, our users, or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we will continue to protect your information and notify you of any change in control or applicable policy.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account information and content while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Services and to meet legal, accounting, and operational purposes. There is currently no automated, self-serve account-deletion feature in the product.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@pnxstudios.com. We honor these requests as a manual process and will action them in accordance with applicable law. We do not provide an instant or fully automated in-app deletion; we will remove your data on request, subject to any retention we are legally required or permitted to maintain.

9. Your Privacy Rights

EU/UK Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the rights to access, rectify, and erase your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

We rely on the following lawful bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services you request), our legitimate interests (to secure, operate, and improve the Services), and your consent where required. You may exercise these rights by contacting info@pnxstudios.com.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the rights to know and access the personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, contact info@pnxstudios.com.

10. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States. If you access the Services from the European Union, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable).

11. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including per-user row-level security to keep your data isolated, scoped credentials that limit access, and encryption in transit (TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. See Section 2 for how to contact us about under-16 data.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this policy or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. There is no binding arbitration and no class-action waiver; disputes are resolved in the Utah courts.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
